Michael Alan Tollas, 55, of Twentynine Palms, California, passed away on Sunday, July 1, at Hi-Desert Continuing Care Center.

Michael was born on December 20, 1956, in Michigan to Franklin Edgar Tollas and Mary Kathryn Simmons. He was a radiology technician in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from University of California at Davis and worked as an engineer for the City of San Francisco. He later, became a real estate agent.

A sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan and follower of sports radio personality Jim Rome. He also loved politics and music.

He is survived by wife, Monique A. Stump, of Twentynine Palms; son, Jackson Tollas and daughters, Kaya and Lana Tollas of Kenosha, WI; brother, Brian (Johanna) Tollas, nephew, Matthew Tollas and niece, Kathryn Tollas, all of Des Moines.

A private viewing was held on Tuesday, July 3, at Wiefels Mortuary in Yucca Valley with cremation following the ceremony. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA Sun 16 Sept 2012.
