Narrow Gauge Road – Yesterday evening the rail was laid nearly to the north line of the Poor Farm. Next week, it is proposed to have ten miles unlaid between Polk City and Des Moines, when a caboose car will be attached and a Polk Cityite will run a stage line the balance of the way. No more filling will be done in Des Moines until the track is completed to that place. - Register
