The obituary was under Florence E. Cook and not the surname Dodd which was her maiden name. The exact date of the newspaper helped.
MRS. FLORENCE E. COOK
Mrs. Florence E. Cook, 83, a former resident of Rolfe, died Saturday in Concord, N. Hamp., where
she had lived the past 17 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the United Methodist Church in Rolfe with Rev. Warren A. Bintz officiating. Organist for the service was Mrs. Gilfert Nielsen. Mrs. Fern Pease, Mrs. L. R. Davidson, Mrs. Bill Brinkman,and Mrs. C. A. Christensen were in charge of the floral arrangements. Casket bearers were Don Eikenberry, Bill Brinkman, Ellwood Olerich, Don Davidson, Dick Hodoway and Helmer Kaiser. Interment was in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery.Florence Edna Dodd Cook, daughter of Aaron Chester and Marion Lounsbury Dodd, was born September 17, 1892, at Humboldt, Iowa and passed away in Concord, N. Hamp., on October 18, 1975. She resided in Humboldt until her marriage, to Otis Ulysses Cook on September 17, 1912, at which time they moved to Rolfe. To this union was born a daughter, Arlene. Mrs. Cook lived in Rolfe until 1958 when, she moved to W. Hartford, Conn., to live with her daughter and family. In 1968 they moved to New Hampshire where she continued to make her home. She was a member, since 1912, of the United Methodist Church and attended it regularly. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. During the summer months she came to Rolfe and spent many happy hours with friends and neighbors.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Benson Leavitt of Concord, New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Mac and Barbara; and one great-grandchild, Jennifer. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Irving and Reuby.
