Mrs. Hanna Wiese

Mrs. Hanna Wiese, 80, former Pocahontas resident, died Sunday, July 22, at Aurora, Colo. Graveside committal services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at Summit Hill Cemetery, Pocahontas. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday at Powers Funeral Home in Pocahontas.

Surviving are son Byron, Aurora, Colo.; sister Mrs. Reka Peters, Waseca, Minn.; and a brother, Henry Beekman, Houston, Texas. Hanna Beekman was born in Germany and came with her family to the United States at a young age. She was educated in the Pocahontas County schools. She married Henry Wiese in 1924 at Pocahontas and they made their home in Pocahontas. He died in 1977 and she continued to live in Pocahontas until 1980 when she moved to Aurora.
