Note: Her maiden name was Crowder. She is buried under the name Sarah Putnam from her marriage to John Putnam and not by Morrison.

The remains of Mrs. Sarah Morrison, formerly Mrs. John W. Putnam, arrived here for burial yesterday from Dubuque, Ia., where she died April 14, 1914 following a paralytic stroke, aged 70 years.

Deceased and her former husband, John W. Putnam, lived north east of here on Indian creek for several years, but about a year after his death in 1888, she moved to Savannah, Ill. and has since resided there.

Four sons survive, Frank of Savannah, Ill; Paul, of Norris, S. D.; Ed., some place in the south and Ernest, of Mt. Carroll, Ill.

All except Ed came here to attend the funeral, held this afternoon in the M. E. church, and the burial in Riverside cemetery.

The pallbearers were old soldiers, Mr. Putnam having been a veteran of the Civil war.
