Viola I. Fulton, 76, of Union Township, Plymouth County, died Tuesday, July 26, 1994, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in King sley.

Viola Iayleen Fulton was born July 4, 1918, in Orange City, the daughter of John and Minnie (Raak) DeRaad. She grew up in Orange City, the Kingsley area, and later in the Le Mars area. She married Kermit "Fat" Fulton on Jan. 1, 1937, in Sioux City. After their marriage, the couple lived in Le Mars. Mr. Fulton died in September 1974, In May of 1993, Mrs. Fulton became a resident of Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors are five children, Robert Fulton and his wife, Mary, of Le Mars, Donald Fulton of Le Mars, Joann and her husband, Chuck Verts of low City, Janice and her husband, John Howd of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Jean and her husband, Greg Arnovich of Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Vernon DeRaad of Le Mars; one sister, Myrtle Madden of Kingsley; ten grandchildren, Kay Moseley, Jeff Fulton, Jill Lorenzen, Drew and Sara Verts, Angela, Mark, and Daniel Howard, Alex and Aaron Arnovich; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Moseley, Travis Fulton, and Jessica and Jaimie Lorenzen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Elmer, Alfred, and Marion.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. today (Friday) at the Mauer Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Koth officiating. Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Union Township Cemetery.
