MRS. FRANK TRAUTT CALLED BY DEATH

Illness Had Extended Over Six Months Period; Rites Tuesday Morning

Mrs. Frank Trautt, a well-known and highly esteemed resident of this city, passed away at her home here at 6 o'clock Sunday morning, November 7, 1943, after an illness of about six months, at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 22 days.

Mary M. Gleason, daughter of Michael and Mary Hennessey Gleason, was born March 16, 1891, in Plymouth County, Iowa, where she spent her entire life. During her girlhood, she attended school in Akron. On January 26, 1910, she was united in marriage with Frank Trautt in Akron. Mrs. Trautt was a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. She was a charter member of both the Catholic Women's League and Catholic Daughters of America.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and five children, Fay, of Yankton, S. D.; Evelyn (Mrs. James Houlton), of Vermillion, S. D.; Ella (Mrs. Leo Houlton), of Akron; Ray and Leo, at home; also by two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Trautt and Mrs. A. C. Bay, of Akron; two brothers, James and Jack Gleason of Massillon, Ohio, and 12 grandchildren.

A kind and devoted wife and' mother, a helpful neighbor and a true friend, she will be missed and mourned by a host of friends, who extend sympathy to the family in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Patrick’s church, Rev. Fr. Chas. Ernst officiating. Acting as pallbearers were Bernard Markus, Mike Foley, Rene Campbell, Wm. Neary, August Lundgren arid Fred Dirks. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
