Alvin R. King, 83, Was Former Akron Railroad Depot Agent

Alvin R. King, 83, Sioux City, died into Tuesday night after suffering a heart attack at his home.

Mr. King was born May 5, 1877, in Indiana. He married Emma Braun of Le Mars. For 35 years he was a station agent for the Illinois Central railroad. He was stationed at Akron and Smithland and in 1946 came to Sioux City. His wife died April 21, 1949, in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Leighton of Sacramento, Cal., and DeLoss of Tauyhoga Falls, O.; a daughter, Mrs. Violet Lundeen of Sioux City, and a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Magintaud of Ainsworth, Neb., and seven grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
