Akron Register-Tribune, January 25, 1940

Miss Delores Hoffmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hoffmann, of Merrill, and Leonard J. Woll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Woll, of LeMars, were joined in marriage January 16, 1940. The wedding took place at St. Joseph’s church at Ellendale at 8 a.m., Rev. Fr. F. H. Greteman, officiating at the celebration of the nuptial mass. The bride was attended by Miss Margie Nemmers and Cecil Kennedy.

The bride wore a becoming costume of navy blue, with matching accessories and a corsage bouquet of white sweet peas. The bridesmaid was attired in a wine colored dress, with lace to match.

Following the service, a wedding breakfast was served in the home of the bride’s parents and a reception held later in the day in honor of the young couple.

After a brief wedding trip, the newlyweds will be at home on a farm in Johnson township.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph’s high school in LeMars and a popular young woman in a large circle of friends. The bridegroom is a well known and popular young man in the community.
