Peter McMahon
Peter [Peter Charles] McMahon died at his home in this city Sunday morning, February 19, after a prolonged illness. For several weeks it was understood that he could not recover, hence his death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held at St. Thomas church on Tuesday morning at 10:30. Rev. M. McNerney officiated.

Peter McMahon as born in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 28, 1873. When five years of age, he moved with his parents to Streatsville, Ohio. In 1885 they moved to Rolfe, Pocahontas county, Iowa. Since that time the deceased has spent most of his time in Pocahontas and Palo Alto counties.

On January 7, 1913, he united in marriage with Miss Anna Doerning, who with four children survive him.

Mr. McMahon was kind in his home and despite his failing health in recent years he made every effort to provide a comfortable home. He was agreeable indisposition and unoffensive in his manner. His death is sad in-as-much as it is untimely and robs the wife and children of the support, care and protection that only a husband and father can supply. There are, besides the wife, two little daughters: Charlotte and Veronica, and two sons, Edward and Emmet, his mother, Mrs. J.A. Hayes and two brothers, John McMahon of Estherville and James of this city, left to mourn his departure. The Tribune joins their friends in extending sincere sympathy.
