-- Herbert Beck, in training in the communications division of the army signal corps at Des Moines, visited Saturday and Sunday with his mother, Mrs. C. W. Beck, and other Emmetsburg relatives and friends.
-- Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McCain received word recently that their son, Pvt. John McCain of the merchant marine, is now stationed at San Diego, California
