In 1895 he was united in marriage to Miss Letha Spencer and to this union was born four children, Ina, age 11, Georgia, age 8, Blanche, age 5, and the baby boy, age 15 months. Mr. Gell had been in ill health for the past several months and it had so affected his mind that at times he was not responsible for his acts, and it was during one of these periods that he drunk carbolic acid which caused his death.
