Charles C. Coate Services at Essex

Funeral services for Charles C. Coate, 67, prominent Page county farmer and brother of Mrs. Eva Gillespie, Red Oak, will be Friday, Nov. 10, in Essex. He died Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Hand hospital, Shenandoah on his 67th birthday.

There is a service at 2 p.m. in the Carson Mortuary and another at 2:30 in the First Presbyterian church. Student Pastor George Bishop and Rev. Bruce Gilles of Shenandoah will officiate. Burial will be in Essex cemetery.

Mr. Coate resided in Pierce township, north of Essex and formerly lived in West township, Montgomery county. He is survived by his wife (Margaret Jane Kreiger Coate), son, Maurice of Essex, brother Clifford of Alhambra, Calif.,sister, Mrs. Gillespie and four other sisters, in England.

NOTE: Gravestone records indicate Charles Christopher Coate was born in North Curry, Taunton Deane Borough, Somerset, England to George Coate.
