Morton Funeral to Be on Friday

Life-Long Resident Dies at Iowa City Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel E. Morton, 50, will be held at the Sellergren funeral home, with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery at Nyman.

The Rev. J.S. Jones will be in charge. Pallbearers will be Teddy Monson, Leonard Swanson, Beam Breese, L.A. Dilley, Ross Winn and Frank Gillespie, and flowerbearers will be Mrs. Fred Weilenman, Mrs. H.A. Baker, Miss Wilma Berry and Mrs. J.O. Robinson. Music will be arranged by Mrs. Cecil Brannock.

Mrs. Morton died at the University of Iowa hospital in Iowa City late Monday night, after a three-week illness.

The daughter of John and Sarah Ella (Crees) Winn, she was born at Red Oak on Aug. 13, 1893, and was, married Jan. 3, 1921, to Herbert Morton.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Monson of Red Oak and Mrs. Rosa Swanson of Essex; her mother, and her brothers and sisters, Harry, Merle, Frank and Charles Winn of Red Oak, Walter Winn of California, Mrs. Vesta Gillespie of Red Oak and Mrs. I.L. Dilley of Nodaway.
