MRS. AGNES BARKLEY BURIED WEDNESDAY

Death was Sunday, Jan, 5, at Pipestone, Minn.

Funeral services for Agnes Gillis Barkley were held at the Methodist church at Pipestone, Minn., yesterday at 11 o’clock. Burial was in the Sibley cemetery Wednesday afternoon where brief services were held.

Mrs. Barkley died at her home in Pipestone Sunday, Jan. 6, of pneumonia.

Agnes Carney was born April 1, 1866, near Janesville, Wisc. Her marriage to Oscar J. Gillis took place after her family moved to Osceola county. After the death of Mr. Gillis she moved to Pipestone, where she was afterward married to (Ambrose) Barkley.

Those who survive are her husband and two brothers, George Carney of Moville, Ia., and James Carney of Broadview, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Susie Tillman of Clarion, Ia., and two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Cleaveland and Mrs. Will Minard, both of Pipestone.

Those at the funeral here from out of town were Walter Clayton, Paul Clayton, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Barkley and Frank Barkley, all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. James Duncan of Trosky, Minn.; Albert Kirk and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Franz, of Pipestone.
