Robert Herman Schroeder, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Schroeder, was born October 25, 1911 at Paullina, Iowa. He passed away after a lingering illness at the Hartley Community Hospital on June 29, 1970 at the age of 58 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

He was raised around Moneta and Hartley and attended area schools near his childhood home.

He was united in marriage to Gladys Krueger, July 26, 1947, at Hartley, Iowa. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gladys; two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Thiessen of Gaza, Iowa, and Mrs. Louise Shearer of Paullina, Iowa, other relatives and his many friends.

Services were held from Baumgarten Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1. Rev. A.O. Bleeke officiated. He is at rest in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, Iowal
