Kathleen Kay Hilbert, daughter of John and Amanda (Glaser) Hilbert, was born at the Hand Hospital in Hartley, Iowa, on Tuesday, August 6, 1946 at 11:30 in the morning. Kathleen Kay was dedicated to God in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism administered by one of the Hospital nurses; she was sponsored by her father and Miss Lillian Gathman. At the age of six hours, infant Kathleen passed this earthly life.

Kathleen Kay was preceded by her brother, Gary, who died in the fall of 1943.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hilbert; her brother, Rodney Royce; two grandparents, Mrs. Emma Glaser and Mr. Jack Hilbert, and a host of relatives.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B.H. Romanowski of Trinity Evangelical and reformed Church at the Foley Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 1946, Music, "The Sunbeam Song" and "Asleep in Jesus" was furnished by a duet composed of mr. S.J. Johnson and R.W. Wagner with Mrs. Harold Gonnerman at the piano.

Interment waws in Pleasant View Cemetery.
