She was married to Jhurgen Kruse May 28, 1865. They came to America in 1869, and lived in Clinton and Jackson county, Iowa , until 1877, when they moved to Tama county.

In 1888 they came to Cherokee county and have since made their home with their son in-law, Fedder Feddersen, until their deaths, Mr. Kruse preceding his wife to the great beyond about a year and a half, on New Years day, 1911. Then moving to Sutherland with Mr. Feddersen when he came here to make his home.

To them were born five children, Mrs. Feddersen being the only one now surviving. Two of them were buried in Jackson county and two in Tama county, two of them dying of diphtheria.

This summer Mrs. Kruse wanted to visit their relations, especially their sisters, in Arcadia and Denison. Her death occurred by accident in Arcadia, as already published, from a fall over a stairway, on August 26, 1912. She leaves one daughter, one grandchild and two great grandchildren .
