Carolyn May (Nason) Eldridge (1911-1996)

Graveside services were held on
Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Nemasket Hill
Cemetery in Middleboro, Ma. Rev.
John Cayton officiated with the Nickerson-Bourne
Funeral Home of Middleboro
in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn Mae Eldridge, the daughter
of Ralph and Nellie Ham Nason, was
born Nov. 17, 1911 in Bangor, Me.
She attended schools in Bangor and
graduated from Bangor High School
in 1931.

On May 30, 1935 she was
united in marriage to Roger G. Eldridge
in Brockton, Ma. After their
marriage the couple settled in Middleboro
where in 1952 they established
the Eldridge Funeral Home, owning
and operating it until their retirement in
1980.

Her husband preceded her in
death on Sept. 11, 1982 in Lakeville,
Ma. The couple had spent their retirement
years living in Lakeville and
wintering in Tucson, Az.

She passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1,1996 at the
Tobcy Hospital in Wareham, Ma.,
reaching the age of 84 years, 10
months and 14 days. She was a member of the Central Congregational Church in Middleboro.

Left to cherish her memory are four
sons and their wives, Richard and
Stella Eldridge of Tucson, Az., Donald
and Karncy Eldridge of Abington,
Ma., Roger and Pat Eldridge of Greeley,
Co., and Peter and LaNan Eldridge
of Paullina, Iowa; also 11 grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Mrs. Lois Conncrs of Herman,
Me.

She was preceded in death by her
husband, parents and six brothers.
