Dorothy "Jean" Ivadel Keyser, the daughter of Roy A. and Anna (Gust) Dueling, was bom June 16, 1921, in Anita, Iowa. Her childhood was spent in various towns in Iowa, and her education with graduation from high school was at Corning High School in Corning, Iowa.

On March 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Alvin E. Keyser in Omaha, NE. After their marriage the couple settled in South Sioux City, NE, where they resided for 12 years. In 1960 they moved to Paullina where her husband was employed by the Northern Natural Gas Company. The couple's retirement years were spent in Paullina until June of 1999, when they moved to The Woodlands, TX.

Her husband preceded her in death on May 6, 2001, in The Woodlands, TX. Jean was making her home at the Regent Care Center in The Woodlands.

She passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Regent Care Center, reaching the age of 81 years, 8 months and 19 days.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina, and the U.P.W. of the church. Jean was active in the church, serving on the session and various committees within the church.

Jean is survived by two sons and their wives: Richard and Laurie Keyser and Robert and Cathie Keyser, all of The Woodlands, TX, one daughter and her husband, Joni and Mark Kraayenbrink of Decorah, IA; six grandchildren: [redacted]; four sisters: Hazel and her husband, Warren Booher of Blair, NE, Virginia and her husband, Roger Beck and Shirley Sillik, all of Omaha, NE, and Irene Russell of Carter Lake, IA; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two infant daughters at birth, Nancy Jean and Mary Lou; a grandson, Thomas Keyser; parents, five brothers. Harold, Gerald, Paul, Clarence and Joe Dueling.
