Kathrina Frahm was born Oct. 31, 1863 at Meggedarf, Schleswig, [Germany] where she grew to womanhood and was united in holy matrimony with Henry Mohr on the 31st of Oct., 1884.

In the year 1892 they emigrated to America, settling in Boone County, Iowa, later moving on a farm near Ocheyedan. In 1915 they built a home in our town where she departed from this life early Monday morning, February 17th, after being bed-fast for months.

Though her eyes were dim and blind her eye of faith was firmly fixed upon her Savior Jesus. "I know not that my Redeemer liveth" was her comfort in pain and death.

She leaves to mourn her sorrowing husband, 12 children, 5 sons and 7 daughters; two children have gone before her, one in infancy in Schleswig, one a maiden in Boone county. 12 children's children survive her.

Her mortal remains were laid to rest Wednesday 19th. A brief service was held at the house and at the church (St. Paulfs Lutheran) the Rev. C. Winter of May City spoke words of comfort.

"God will wipe away all tears from their eyes" The pastor of the local church spoke upon her unreserved confession: "I know that my Redeemer liveth." Job 19-25-27. 0 Zion, hail! Bright city now unfold The gates of grace to me! How many a time I longed for thee of old, Ere yet T was set free From yon dark life of sadness, Yon world of shadowy naught, And God has given the gladness, The heritage I sought!" Requiescat in pace! "
