IDA H. MOHR

Ida H. Mohr, nee Mielke, the daughter of Charles and Sophia Centner Mielke was born January 17, 1895 in Osceola County near Hartley, Iowa. She spent her entire lifetime in Osceola County residing near Sibley, Melvin, May City and Hartley. She was educated in the area schools near her home.

On November 25,1915 she was united in marriage to John D. Mohr at May City, Iowa. To this union were born two children.

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Melvin and its church circle. She passed away in Rochester, Minn., on November 4, 1970, at the age of 75 following an illness of some months.

Preceding her in death were her husband, three brothers and one sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth, of Hartley, and her daughter, Elsie, (Mrs. Derald Schroeder) of Rochester, Minn., four grandsons, one sister, Mrs. Hannah Benz of Melvin, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 7, at the American Lutheran Church in Melvin with Rev. H. H. Adix officiating. Pallbearers were Art Mielke, Dick Benz, Adolf Mielke, George Mohr, Otto Lorch and Wilbur Mohr. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery at Hartley with Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
