Carly Anne Kreibaum (1983-2017)

Carly Anne Kreibaum, the daughter of Roger and Gail (Noethe) Buchholtz, was born on December 9, 1983 in Sheldon, Iowa. She was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley in 1984 and later confirmed in 1998. She was raised and attended school in Sibley, graduating in 2002. She then went on to study K-12 art education at Wayne State, graduating in 2006.

On July 21, 2006, Carly married Chris Kreibaum at the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm near Sutherland. Carly worked at Walmart in Spencer, where she was the manager of the housewares department.

She loved to paint and make pottery. She was an excellent cook and loved baking and cake decorating. She loved being with her children and being involved in their activities. Carly also helped on the farm helping with combining and mowing. She had a really big heart, she was everybody’s mom, always caring for everyone else.

Carly passed away on October 2, 2017, at the age of 33. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Albert and Darlene Buchholtz; her maternal grandparents: Lawrence and Gladys Noethe and her grandfather-in-law, Dale Kreibaum.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chris of Sutherland, IA; her two children: Dalten and Cambri; parents: Roger and Gail Buchholtz of Sibley, IA; mother-in-law, Barbara Rohwer of Primghar, IA; grandmother-in-law, Beverly Kreibaum of Sutherland, IA; brother, Drew Buchholtz (Chanda) and their two children: Rhett and Berklee of Sibley, IA; sister, Meg Buchholtz and special friend, (Dalton Holle); sister-in-law, Sarah Rowher of Primghar, IA; brother-in-law, Matt Rohwer of Primghar, IA; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 14, at the RL Johannsen Center in Sutherland.

The family requests that instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the Security State Bank in Sutherland, where a college fund has been set up for her children.
