Services Held Saturday, June 5, for Mrs. Sundquist

Mrs. Agnes Sundquist, 73, passed away at a hospital in Worthington, Minn., early Saturday morning, June 5, having been in failing health for a short time. Services were held Monday, June 7, at the Seivert Funeral Home at 1:45 and at the Methodist church at 2:00, Rev. J. F. Moore was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. F. F. Robinson. Interment was in the Paullina cemetery.

Agnes Dorothy Nyberg was born March 27, 1875 at Westmaland [possibly meant Västmanland?], Sweden. She came to America in 1897 and settled at Moline, Ill. On July 20, 1898, she was united in marriage to Eric Alrik Sundquist. Born to this union were seven children: Ellsworth, Margaret, Bert, Ethel, Elmer, Herman and Gordon. They began farming in Iowa in 1912, settling first at Marcus, then at Baker township, O'Brien county, and later at Dale township, where Mr. Sundquist passed away in January 1926. Mrs. Sundquist moved to Paullina two years later and lived there until 1932. At that time, she went to Primghar to make a home for her three sons, Bert, Elmer and Herman. She continued to make a home for Bert and his daughter, Rita Mae, until her death, June 5, 1948, at the age of seventy-three years, two months, and nine days.

Survivors include: five children who are, Ellsworth, Moline, Ill.; Margaret (Mrs. Clarence Hedin), Baker township; Bert, Primghar; Elmer, Primghar; and Herman, La Jolla, California. A sister, Mrs. Hildur Nelson, Hunting Beach [sic], Cal.; brother, sister, Sweden; fourteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Ethel and Gordon preceded her in death in infancy.
