Sutherland Man Drowning Victim At Spirit Lake

Luverne Jennings, 33, of Sutherland, was a victim of drowning Tuesday afternoon, May 4th, while fishing on Spirit Lake. Mr. Jennings was manager of a lumber yard at Sutherland and had gone fishing with three companions when the accident occurred. According to report, he was standing in the boat and was attempting to disengage a tangled line, when he fell overboard. He is survived by his wife and three children, Gary age 10 and Judy and Jerry nine-year-old twins. Funeral arrangements were not complete at this writing.
