Funeral services for Mrytle E. Parizek, 91, West Liberty, were held Sept. 26, 1997 at Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty, with burial in the Lone Tree cemetery.

Mrs. Parizek died Sept. 23 at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty, following a long illness.

The daughter of Ed and Estella Sustin Ball, she was born Feb. 25, 1906 in Jonesboro, Tenn. She married Joseph Parizek on Feb. 2, 1927 in Lone Tree. He died in 1976.

Mrs. Parizek is survived by 3 sons, Gilbert Parizek and wife Joyce, West Liberty; James Parizek and wife Joanne, Cedar Rapids; and Jerry Parizek and wife Joyce, Winterset; a daughter, Joanne Burton, Coralville; 5 sisters, Dorothy Justice, Ft. Worth, Texas; Josephine Fulton and Stella Mahoney, Iowa City; Benny Harrington, Downey; and Cleo Krueger, West Branch; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Marlene Parizek. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, LeRoy Parizek; 4 sisters, Anna, Pearl, Lucy and Louise; and a great-grandson.
