Funeral services for Frances E. Moylan, 86, West Liberty, were held July 19, 1997 at St. Joseph Catholic church in West Liberty, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Calvary cemetery in West Liberty.

Mrs. Moylan died July 17 at her home in West Liberty, following a brief illness.

The daughter of George and Margaret McCarthy Harney, she was born June 15, 1911 in West Liberty. She graduated from West Liberty high school in 1929.

Mrs. Moylan had been employed with her brother and mother at the Globe Cafe, later at the Winfield Grocery Store in West Liberty and most recently at the West Liberty public library, retiring in November 1996.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church, its Altar and Rosary Society, and the St. Patrick Society in Davenport.

Mrs. Moylan is survived by a daughter, Maureen (Mrs. John) Stoops, Davenport; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Peggy Moylan, Ft. Madison; and Patrick Moylan, Bettendorf; 3 grandchildren, Molly, Bryan and Kevin; and a sister, Helen Reier, West Liberty. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
