Last rites for Mrs. George (Pearl L.) Chapman, 94, were held in Muscatine March 10 with the Rev. Dan Schoepf officiating. Burial was in Overman cemetery. Mrs. Chapman died at the Simpson Memorial home, West Liberty, March 7.

The daughter of Cyrus and Margaret Brookhart Fry, she was born in Shenandoah July 26, 1889. She was married to George F. Chapman in Muscatine March 29, 1911. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by a son, George, Muscatine; 3 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Watters, Opheim, IL and Mrs. Francis (Dorothy) Carlisle and Mrs. Orville (Gladys) Sterner, Atalissa; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
