Funeral services for Mrs. Russell (Beulah J.) Martin, 73, Atalissa, were held in Muscatine Oct. 21 with the Rev. Arno Hutchinson officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Martin died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Oct. 18.

The daughter of Chester Arthur and Myrtle Metzger Neipert, she was born in Muscatine Dec. 18, 1909. She had lived in the West Liberty and Atalissa area for 35 years. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was married to Russell W. Martin in Preston, MN July 29, 1939. He died in December 1982.

She is survived by 2 sons, Walter, Moscow and Wayne, Atalissa; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Martin, Muscatine; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Maynard (Lorraine) Diehl, Muscatine and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Moore, Topeka, KN; 13 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harold and Donald Neipert, both of Wilton and 4 sisters, Mrs. Harry (Norma) Flake, Mrs. Duane (Marilyn) Ruckles, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Stacher and Mrs. Archie (Gertrude) Kaalberg, all of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, one sister and 2 grandchildren.
