Funeral services for Lee A. Herrold, 74, West Liberty, were held July 15 at Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Frank Greenwood officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery in West Liberty.

Mr. Herrold died July 12 at Crestview Care Center in West Branch after a long illness.

He was born Sept. 28, 1908 in Centerdale to Herbert and Carrie Conklin Herrold. He married Rita Askam Aug. 25, 1935 in West Liberty.

Mr. Herrold was the owner and operator of the Herrold Dairy in West Liberty for a number of years, before becoming a caretaker for the Oak Ridge cemetery and Kimberly park in West Liberty.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Ruby (Mrs. Robert) Clemmens, Springdale; a son, Charles, West Liberty; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and his mother, Carrie Deforest, West Liberty. He was preceded in death by his father.
