Funeral services for John William Waack, 81, Stockton, were held June 29 at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Walcott cemetery.

John Waack died June 26 at Davenport Osteopathic hospital.

He was born April 23, 1902 in Germany to Hans and Helena Waack. He married Emma Hutchinson Feb. 22, 1930. He retired from the Stockton Foundry in 1964.

Mr. Waack is survived by 3 sons, Milo, Muscatine, Jerald, Wilton and John, Moline; 4 daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Elflien, Herman, MO: Mrs. Otto (Dorothy) Vinkovics and Mrs. Everette (Ruth) Goodrick, both of Stockton and Mrs. Jake (Mary) Achey, Bennett; 23 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry, Sarasota, FL and 2 sisters, Mrs. William (Christine) Elchoff and Mrs. Edward (Amanda) Marxen, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one daughter and a brother.
