Last rites for Marvin Morrison, 79, were held at the West Liberty Christian church May 20 with the Rev. Roy Shaughnessy officiating. Burial was in the North Prairie cemetery.
Mr. Morrison died at his home in West Liberty May 18, following an extended illness.
The son of Charles and Julia Crees Morrison, he was born in Johnson county May 6, 1893. He was married to Viola Lehman at West Liberty Sept. 30, 1915.
Mr. Morrison was a member of the Christian Church at West Liberty; the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Grange.
Survivors include his wife; 5 sons, Raymond, Amos, Harold and William, all of West Liberty and Louis of Aurora, Ill.; 5 daughters, Mrs. Alice Weise, Letts; Mrs. Ruth Howard, Winchester, Ill.; Mrs. Leota Borgstadt, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. June Olds, Davenport and Mrs. Elsie Powers, West Liberty; 4 brothers, Robert and George, Atalissa; Donald, West Liberty and Henry, West Branch; 2 sisters, Mrs. Agnes Rebal of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Ann Dunker of Ft. Dodge; also 47 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 sons, 2 daughters and 2 brothers.
