Robert Eugene "Hubba" Coss, age 88, of Wilton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Lutheran Living in Muscatine. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Bob was born on October 30, 1933, in Fredericksburg, Iowa, the son of Lewis and Olive (Conklin) Coss. Robert graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1954. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958. Bob married Carmen Wigger on December 9, 1961 in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Bob worked as a machine operator, retiring from J.I. Case in 1989. After Bob retired, he drove truck for Plasticraft in Wilton for eight years. He was a member of the Wilton American Legion Post #584 for over thirty-five years. Bob was a former Jaycee and member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling, and was meticulous about his lawn. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family and friends.

Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Carmen; daughter, Jane Ann (Dan) Swanson of Wapello, Iowa; granddaughter, Tara (Jeff) Jenkins of Muscatine, Iowa; one great-granddaughter, Braylynn; one sister, Helen Sambdman of Westminster, California and one brother, Gale Coss of LeClaire, Iowa.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Goldie Chandler, Dorothy Ericksen, Evelyn Farris, Maxine Duncan and Phyllis Coss; five brothers, Stuart Coss, Lewis Coss, LaVern Coss, Larry Coss and Kenneth Coss; and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Addison.
