Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Julia Crees, 77, were held at West Liberty Jan. 30, with burial in the Oak Ridge cemetery near West Liberty. Mrs. Crees died at her home in West Liberty Jan. 27.

Born Oct. 31, 1893 in Cedar county, she was a daughter of John and Ida M. Gatton Ester.

She married Chester Crees Feb. 23, 1916. She was a member of Adah Rebekah Lodge, the Past Noble Grand circle, Pythian Sisters and Royal Neighbors.

One daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Brayton, West Liberty and 2 grandchildren survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
