Mrs. Martha King, a former resident of Muscatine County, died Tuesday at her home in Elmwood, Neb., according to word received here by a sister, Mrs. Keturah Hopkins, 1253 Halstead Street. Death was due to old age and complications. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. King, formerly Miss Martha Eveland, was born on a farm eight miles north of Muscatine and spent practically her entire life there until 15 years ago when she moved to Elmwood. She married Albert King about 50 years ago, who preceded her in death by 40 years.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hopkins and Mrs. Sarah Wellman of Geneva, Neb., and two brothers, Harmon Eveland of Perry, Ia., and Peter Eveland of Elmwood.

The body will be brought to Wilton and interred in the Kline cemetery.
