Mrs. Minnie Wright, 88, died Jan. 8 in a West Liberty nursing home. Funeral services were held Jan. 11 in West Liberty. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Mrs. Wright was born July 30, 1877, in Cedar county, the daughter of Perry and Etura Wing Case. She was a resident of West Liberty most of her life, but lived for a time in Iowa City.

She was married to Hugh Wright Jan. 29, 1896. He died in 1948.

Mrs. Wright was a member of the Christian Church and its C.W.S. organization, Adah Rebekah Lodge, Pythian Sisters and the Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Pearl) Applegate, West Liberty and Mrs. Lewis (Cora) Johnson, Chula Vista, Calif.; a sister, Ethel Case, Long Beach, Calif.; a granddaughter; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
