Mrs. Henry Naber, 60, 136 Houser street, died suddenly at her home at 1 a.m. Sunday. Death came after a stroke of apoplexy at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, from which she failed to regain consciousness. Mrs. Naber had been in good health previously.
She was born at Gronningen, Netherlands, Aug. 14, 1870, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Vanderbaan. She came to America when 16.
She was married to Henry Naber at Fulton, Ill., Dec. 25, 1891. Her home had been in Muscatine for the past 39 years.
Mrs. Naber was a member of the First Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband and seven children: William Naber, Tipton; P.H. Naber, Muscatine, John Naber, Ottawa; Ernest Naber, Muscatine; Mrs. Arthur Fry, Muscatine; Henry Naber, Jr., Rock Island and Stella Naber, Muscatine and 24 grandchildren, son George died three years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Vernon L. Shontz of the First Baptist church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Naber home and at 3 o'clock at the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
