Services for Delbert William Arnold, 59, of Atalissa who died in Mercy hospital, Iowa City, were June 29 at the Snider Funeral home in West Liberty with the Rev. Robert Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty.
Mr. Arnold was born June 8, 1906, in Atalissa, the son of William and Margaret Linn Slosser Arnold.
He married Edith A. Bjork June 19, 1929, at Monmouth, Ill.
Mr. Arnold had been an oil jobber, attended the Presbyterian church, and was a farmer for the past 5 years.
He is survived by his widow; 2 sons, Ralph L. of Atalissa and Gordon L. of Sawyer AFB, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Karen) Puffet of Dundee; 2 brothers, George G. of Evansville, Wis., and Virgil of Muscatine; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Margaret) Essex of Atalissa and Mrs. Verle (Gretchen) Smith of Solon.
Mr. Arnold's mother of West Liberty and 2 grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and his father.
