MRS. CARPENTER DIES, AGED 55

Muscatine, Ia., April 3. -- Mrs. Bertha Lambert Carpenter, aged 55 years died in her home, 1113 East Second street, at 1:40 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of 16 days. Mrs. Carpenter who was formerly Bertha Lambert, was born in Louisa county, Nov 19, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lambert. For the past 25 years she had made her home in Muscatine. She was married to William H. Carpenter, May 25, 1910, in Muscatine.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the home. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
