Mrs. Hattie E. Martin, 95, of 1542 Washington St., died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Muscatine General hospital, after an illness of one week.

Mrs. Martin had been a resident of Muscatine for 75 years. She was born Aug. 15, 1868 at Wilton, the daughter of John M. and Tacy Richards Duncan.

She was married Nov. 17, 1897, at Muscatine to William F. Martin. She was a charter member of Park Avenue Methodist church.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold Danson of Muscatine; and one brother, Guy Duncan of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and one sister.

The body is now at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home, where friends may begin calling this evening.

Rev. Stephen Root will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home. Burial will be at the Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.
