October 3, 1897 ---- February 1, 1903

The five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Westlake, three miles north of town, died of diphtheria Sunday afternoon, and was buried the same evening. There are six other children in the same family who are afflicted with the disease in a mild form.

August 3, 1890 --- December 16, 1904

Millie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Westlake, living just below the south bridge, died last Friday of pneumonia, after a month's illness, at the age of 14 years, 4 months and 16 days. The funeral was held from the home Sunday forenoon and the remains were interred in the city cemetery, Rev. T. P. Newland conducting the services. The family have the sympathy of all in their profound grief.
