Carl Edgar Anderson Services Are Held
Stanton – Funeral services for Carl Edgar Anderson, 59, farmer, oil dealer and school bus driver, were held Wednesday, April 2, at Memrelund Lutheran Church here. A lifetime resident of Stanton, he died Sunday, March 30, at Murphy Memorial Hospital after an illness of eight days. Death was due to a heart attack. The Rev. Francis W. Johnson officiated and burial was in Mamre Cemetery here with the Sellergren Service in charge of arrangements. Music was by Mrs. Donald Hallquist, vocalist, with Mrs. Myron Lindgren at the organ. Floral committee members were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bergren, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Lantz, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Levine. Loren Olander and Glenn Johnson were ushers. Bearers were Irving Nelson, Robert Shellberg, Harold A. Swanson, William Thompson, Milton Lindell, Harold C. Anderson, Arthur Lantz and Gust Nelson. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Anderson, he was born here Sept. 30, 1898, and was married in 1928 to Adla Almquist, who survives. He was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church. Also surviving are a son, Robert, Stanton and a sister, Mrs. V. D. Norall, Lexington, Neb.
