Mary Josephine (Hayes) Sinn, a former resident of Clarinda, passed away on January 8, 2000, in Fresno, California, at the age of 80.
Jo was born in Red Oak, Iowa, on September 23, 1919. She and her husband, Charles, a native of Clarinda, lived here until 1966 when they moved to Fresno. Jo was preceded in death by Charles, who passed away in 1981.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter; Steve of Overland Park, Kansas, Bill of Oakland, California, Bob of San Jose, California, and Sally of Silver Spring, Maryland. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
On March 11, 2000 a private burial will be held in the Clarinda Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. at the Lied Center, Clarinda, Iowa. Walker-Merrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
