Edward Scieszinski, 78, of 111 E. Holmes St., died in Mercy Hospital this morning after a short illness.
He was born Nov. 28, 1895, in Melrose, Iowa and had been a Janesville resident since 1928. He was married to Catherine White Feb. 4, 1919, in Melrose. He was employed at General Motors plant a number of years, and later was in the real estate and home improvement business with his son, James, here. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, James, Janesville, and Thomas, Marquette, Mich; five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Schneider Funeral Home, 9:30 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The prayer service will be at 8 p.m.

Son of Anistasia (1845 - 1941) and Mary Frances (Ciskey) Scieszinski (1854 - 1943); married Catherine Agnes White (1893 - 1988) February 4, 1919 at Melrose, IA.
