The widow of the late Isaac Johnson, of Franklin township, is suffering from a severe illness.

Mrs. Lucy Johnson died at her residence in Franklin township on Friday, June 27, after a sickness of several months.

The funeral services were held at Mt. Carmel schoolhouse, Sunday, by Rev. M. Carrier, a large concourse of old neighbors and friends being present to pay their parting respects to the memory of the deceased. Thus, one by one, the old settlers go to the silent land.
