Mrs. S. D. O'Bryan received a telegram Monday telling of the death o her nephew, Joseph Mahoney, aged 22 years, who died at Alliance, Nebo., following an operation for appendicitis.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mahoney, deceased, residents of Monroe county. This is the third death in Mrs. O'Bryan’s family in the past eight months.

NOTE: Joseph E. Mahoney (1903 - 1924), son of Patrick Mahoney (1871 - 1908) and Marguerite “Maggie” (Foley) Mahoney (1882 - 1913); born February 15, 1903; died December 15, 1924, Alliance, NE; Burial: Hemingford Cemetery, Section 1, Area B, Row 4, Block 8, Space 13. Nephew of John Joseph (1884 - 1918) and Teresa (Foley) Scieszinski (1884 - 1916)
