County Notes
Melrose

Word was received here Saturday of the death of Pat Feehan at Chicago. Death was caused by coming in contact with a high tension wire. He was a former resident here, being born and raised in the Tyrone neighborhood. Funeral services were held in Albia Tuesday morning with burial in the cemetery at Georgetown. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of the community in their sorrow.

John Feehan and family were in Albia Wednesday morning of last week attending the funeral of his brother Patrick Feehan, age 42, formerly of Melrose who had been killed in Chicago, June 28. Mr. Feehan was employed in the construction of the new Curtis airport and was killed when he came in contact with a high voltage wire which had been blown down during a storm.

NOTE: Son of William Henry Feehan, Sr. (1833 - 1922) and Catherine (Cotter) Feehan (1843 - 1908)
