In Response To: Re: Robbins Family Documents (Sarah Thorson Little)

Thank you. The only part I question is the middle name of John Dildine.

In the great majority of family trees from Ancestry and myHeritage list him as John Dildaine and his brother as Joseph Dildine. I am looking for that name written somewhere on a document. From some reading I have done, it is claimed that the Dildines were French Huegonots forced away from their home country of France and then spent the interlude in Germany before settling in New Jersey, then Pennsylvania. For some reason they must have used a different derivation for Joseph and John’s middle name. I am just trying to nail the name down in an obit or document. Thank you for your previous response.
