On Thursday, December 14. 1916 news came that Noland McCall had passed away. As he had been ill of tonsillitis but a few days his sudden death was a shock to the entire community. Noland McCall was the youngest­ son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. McCall and was but eighteen years of age.

He graduated from Castana high school, was a member of tho class of 1916. He was among one of the favorites of his classmates and many friends because ot his sterling qualities nnd pleasing personality.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev E. D. Cal­kins. Beautlful floral offerings were presented by former classmates and by the students of the Castana high school.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the grieving parents In the loss of their son.
