Funeral Services Held at Ute

Martha Hertha Pranschke, daughter of Herman and Amelia (Michaelous) Hinzmann was born September 1, 1913 at Brazilmills, Nebraska, and died Saturday, November 16, 1974 at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital. She had reached the age of 61 years, 2 months and 15 days.

Mrs. Pranschke moved to Bloomfield, Nebraska, with her parents when she was a small girl. She married William Johnson in February 1933.

In 1943 she moved to Oto, Iowa, where she worked as a telephone operator and also operated a cafe there. Later she operated a cafe in Smithland, Iowa.

On March 31, 1961 she married Martin Pranschke at Ute, Iowa, and they lived on a farm three miles east of Ute. Mrs. Pranschke was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Ute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her husband, Martin of Ute; two daughters; Mrs. James (Helen) Mullican of Anaheim, California, and Mrs. Edith Gotto of Oto, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Loeding of Columbus, Nebraska, and Mrs. Herta Horstmann of Creighton, Nebraska; three brothers, Bernard Hinzmann in Washington, Charles Hinzmann in Nebraska and Helmuth Hinzmann of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 19, 1974 at 10:30 a. m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Ute, Iowa. Pastor Robert Leege officiated and burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute.

Pallbearers were: Larry Wilson, Bob Creese, Clifford Carman, Gale Carstens, Herman Neddermeyer, Jr., and Ervin Kiepe.
